Working Permit KITAS & IMTA
Rely on the expertise of INi Consulting's professional immigration team to assist you in obtaining working visas and working permits.
Who needs a working permit (IMTA) in Indonesia?
The IMTA (Indonesian Manpower Permit) is designed for foreigners who are employed to work in Indonesia. This permit enables you to engage in employment within the country. Once you have obtained an IMTA, it is necessary to also acquire a stay permit/KITAS (Limited Stay Permit Card).
Who is eligible to apply for a working permit?
To acquire an IMTA, it is essential to be employed by a registered company in Indonesia that will serve as your IMTA sponsor. This company can be a foreign-owned company (PMA), a representative office, or an Indonesian-owned company. However, it is important to note that certain positions are restricted for foreigners and cannot be pursued under an IMTA. These positions include human resources, quality control and inspection, legal, supply chain management, and health, safety, and environment affairs.
